Losing out on offers

Options
Not sure where to put this, just had a bust up with Orange. I pay £15 a month sim only for 150 minutes/300 texts, it is way to expensive for what I use. I just rang orange to cancel as I found a good deal for £10 a month. The sales person told me Orange do £10 deals, exactly the same minutes and texts as I get for £15. I went mad and asked her why I pay £5 more than everyone else and why wasn't I told this was available. It's my fault apparently. I always tick the box on any form to say I don't want to be contacted, ie email/junk mail/phone calls etc. So I miss out on offers can you believe. I have been forking out £15 for months and lost out big time. I cancelled orange as I am fuming even if it is my fault. So be aware if you tick these boxes to stop the junk mail you will need to keep checking you have the best deal

Errr...how exactly do you expect them to contact you to advise of the offers if you say you don't ant contact by email/post/phone? I don't think they use telepathy just yet.

Cancelling Orange over this is just silly - you admit yourself that it is your own fault and all other providers would have been the same in the circumstances.
