A joint bank account and Claiming Charges.

What is the situation with a joint bank account and claiming back charges? Does action have to be carried out jointly or can one person act on behalf of both account holders?
Does anyone know the answer or had experience of this situation?

As long as the cheques can be signed by just one of you (ie not countersigned by both) then either of you can claim and is covered by CPR 19.6:
    19.6

    (1) Where more than one person has the same interest in a claim –
    (a) the claim may be begun; or

    (b) the court may order that the claim be continued,

by or against one or more of the persons who have the same interest as representatives of any other persons who have that interest.
