Help needed!

Hi everyone, I'm on DVLA and innopasity benefit.. i did have a christmas bonus of £10 and another £60 pound paid into my account in jan. but was wondering would i get another 60 pound or the 25 winter cold payment that everyone is on about?

i'm all a bit confused about it!

Hi Laura

You have recieved the Xmas bonus which is £10 and the extra for this year is £60 which you have also recieved.

The Cold weather payment is £25 which you will recieve if you are getting Income Support or income-based Jobseeker's Allowance and have a child under five or get one of the following:

• a pensioner premium, higher pensioner premium or enhanced pensioner premium
• a disability premium or severe disability premium
• a disabled child premium
• Child Tax Credit that includes an individual element for a child or qualifying young person who is disabled or severely disabled

So getting DLA and IB on it's own does not qualify you.

Thank you, so getting higher rate for DLA would not apply to me for the cold winter payment then?

Afraid not, I'm on High rate but because my OH works I don't get it, I could get quite angry but Hey thats another story.......... lol
