My young son and his girl friend have just paid a bill of £1200 to have the blocked upstairs toilet fixed.
I suggest if you have a plumbing problem call a local plumber. Not one from a national chain

We called them out of hours when we had a leaking pipe under our sink, we were charged about £90 and he put our new taps on for free.
I dunno if that was a reasonable price or not but I was happy to pay it as we had water gushing everywhere.
I think they use a network of plumbers, as we had originally called another company and by coincidence they also contacted the same bloke!
Did they get an itemised bill?0 -

How did they justify £1200 for un-blocking a toilet? It didn't involve 'jetting' thr drains, did it?"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0 -
They must have been fools to pay it...0

They charged £59 for full and part hours per man - they needed two on the second visit. they hired a cable machine for which they charged £82 plus VAT.
Labour costs were £708 plus VAT.
I think they were trying to be a bit independent and fell flat on their faces.
It went on the dreaded credit card so that was easy wasn't it!0 -
That's 12 hours labour - even with 2 men, it doesn't take 6 hours to unblock a blocked toilet/drain."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0
