that does seem a saving too far...the tree into a cupboard was funny and a very money saving thing to do....when he gets sick of using it as a cupboard he could put a tablecloth over it and have his coffee of itonwards and upwards0

i wonder how many coffins get re-used, after they go through the curtain at a crematorium.. just who knows what goes into the urn!Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..
Sometimes seen lurking on the compers forum :-)0 -
For those who don't want much of a send off, Amazon have a nice 100 litre black plastic dustbin with clip on lid for less than £23 - should avoid the rain problem at the funeral and can be re-used time and time again.....leave it to the family!:A0

My mum,has her cardboard coffin all ready and waiting in the spare room for when she "pops her cloggs",she bought it a couple of years ago,and my niece, who is a very good artist, has painted it with a lovely woodland scene.
On the day it was delivered,my mum had new neighbours moving in & was chatting away, welcoming them to the neighbourhood, when the delivery lorry turned up,Imagine the look on their faces when piped up " Ahhh, that must be my coffin they're delivering":rotfl:0 -
