  • Can I just update something?

I am going tomoz to relieve my well over Drawn OD account of £800 this should see me through the next three weeks. This will take it through the max. Will the bank let me take this out in one go? I intend to use my well worn cheque book for the deed. Will they smell a rat?

The next day I intend to cancel the DD's apart from my bank related loans etc. Also I have two of thier business cards so I suppose they will have to stay active. Br day March 2

The next day I'm off to Manchester to move my daughter and stay there for a day or two.

I need the cash for the fees and living exspenses. However the WTC are paying me £100 or so a week for the next four weeks and the rent I won't pay because I have claimed for HB and Job seekers. Is it too much to take out of the bank?

Will they smell a rat? you wouldnt be able to use a cashpoint for such a large ammount....you would have to draw in branch but i'll bet they dont bat an eyelid

Is it too much to take out of the bank? if you need it to survive NO....I took £500 plus some more from another account & it was never questioned

  • Cheers Phil. I will dress up as bank robber.

They all know me on first name terms so I may me ok. The cashiers don't care anyway, I should imagine.

One of them was trying to sell me something the other day, when I got £20 for some food.

  • Hi Phil. Just getting my gear on now, ironically my B statement with a booklet called ' A stament of principles" has just arrived. The booklet first published in 1997 goes on to tell the banks what they should be doing to help me and other small business out. Bit late in the day for me and countless others no doubt. The booklet is from the BBA with a forward from the pompous Angela Knight

  • Hi folks I'm back from the bank robbing exersise, £1000 taken out of the OD.

I walked in sunglasses on and went to the counter, got the cheque book out and wrote the cheque cash £1,000 " Can I see a form of identity" this from a woman I had seen Monday when I took £20 out, the one by the way who offered me a new upgrade on my CC. She gave me the once over and faffed about with the computer which seemed to go on foreverrrrrrrrrr, I was now thinking I have been rumbled as the cctv swung my way.
Sweat was now starting and I took the sunglasses off and made a few choice remarks about the weather. After what seemed a year or two she got the cash out counted it and said " Is there anything else I can do for you today MR Bankrobber" I replied "Could you put the cash in a brown envelope as I don't want to lose it". She repied " No you don't want that to happen as money is scarce"
Money in envelope I walked out the bank sunglasses back on and scurried off up the street ciggy quickly lit and popped into the nearest pub for a swift half.
So I now have the cash for the deed and a little for living on.;)
