Buyer hasnt paid

I sold a few bits on ebay last week .... one buyer still hasnt paid despite sending her/him an invoice. They have 100% rating. Where do I go from here??
Thanks for any advice.
Have bought loads off ebay but just dipping a toe at selling now =)

If you have sent an invoice and possibly one further reminder with no response then after 7 days you can open an NPB on the buyer. Log safely into ebay, go onto your sold page and use the drop down box by the item to report an unpaid item.

Make sure you do a full NPB on the basis that buyer has not paid. Then if buyer still doe snot pay in a further 8 days you can close the dispute and reclaim your FVFs.

  • I've experienced this loads of times, from genuine 100% buyers. If feedback is good, then I've found it really is generally best to give someone the benefit of the doubt. If it goes past a week without paying then on the 8th day you can register an Unpaid Item Dispute. At least then if the buyer has 'done a runner' then you've set the ball rolling on getting your FVF and listing fees refunded.

I've been quietly fuming with impatience before now at a seemingly non-paying bidder only to receive payment finally after almost two weeks with a very apologetic email explaining that they'd been rushed into hospital with appendicitis. It can happen...

Ive just been reading this thread as I think I may in the same position, although saying that am only up to days 5/6 on two different items. Have sent reminder invoices but wonder if its worth emailing the buyers just in case they need a couple more days to pay. Would anyone recommend this please?

eBay only refund your Final Value Fee, not your listing fees.

However a relist on an unsold item is usually free if the item sells second time round.

No do not send further rmeinders buyers don't need to be hassled.

If you've sent an invoice and a reminder already then leave it until you can open an NPB, maybe send just one more reminder on say day 8 before the dispute. Personally I send an invoic eon day 1, a reminder on about day 6-7 and then just open the NPB on about day 8-10.

Many buyers wait to pay, if you want immediate payment then you can set that up on a BIN item.

I'd email them and ask if they intend to pay. I have 100% feedback (as a buyer) and almost all of it thanks me for being a speedy payer. On one occasion I was away from any computer and it took me a week to make a payment (only a small amount). The seller asked if I still wanted the item, I said yes please, explained and apologised for the delay and paid by Paypal there and then. I made sure that I thanked them for good communication in the feedback I left.

I think it's about time people ignored the 100% feedback on buyers and realise it means absolutely nothing.

It could be that there are indeed 200 positives, but there may be another 200 sellers who are wishing they could leave a neg for non-payment.

If they don't pay by day 7 without any communication, then open an unpaid dispute, 8 days later, issue the strike and close the dispute, relist the item, and block the non-payer.

Yup, I'd second that. Do it by the book and don't lose any sleep over it.
