  • Hello all, been out all day & whilst I was out got an answer machine message from my Mum who I haven't spoken to for months so wonder what the h*ll she wants, I did try call her back (against my better judgement) and she just said - sounding drunk - call me back later so don't know if I should or not???

Two prizes in the post - both mine & DH's cheques for Daily Mail Name Game so that's £200 to bank asap which will come in for our holidays if nothing else - although DH did PROMISE me my new stereo so hopefully he's going to keep to that.

How has everyone else's day been?

We in ground floor flat, but got sole use of garden, bout 40 foot long, and as wide as house, plus alley.
bottom of garden, has a tree that has fallen over and 3 of the braches have grown, up right and it looks like 3 trees, this is my wild life area, as the fallen tree, covers 3rd of garden, but, only bout,5, foot in from bottom wall, so hollyhocks, lavenders, and cottagey things I got from boot fairs, also got branch which, screwed into tree trunk and hang birds food things off this, nesting box in tree, planted small conifer and holly down here as well honey suckleand jasmine growing up sloped trellis to bottom wall. Behind this is railway embankment, which is great foxes , and allsorts of things roam here (not to noisy)
Plans for this year, bury belfast sink by tree trunk fill with rocks and water, so things cant drown, and some water plants, for dragon flies frogs, birds, and things to drink. and a bench, a nice quiet area (till grandchildren, come up:rotfl: )

Left hand border, is all cottagey country plants, poppies, fox gloves, delphiniums lupins, stuff I cant remember hollyhocks geraniums, aqulia? in blacks purples and pastel blues, with some pink and whites (dont like yellow much)this all against brick wall,(and more lavender)
Plans for this year, just keep it full, and plant onion sets in gaps

Right hand border, is fence with 5, hanging baskets, and my raspberry canes, up everymorning when they ripe
No plans for this, although my try some aubergines

Big lawn, for lazying small pation area off house for bbqs,(thats where the aubergines will be going)

Front garden, date palm, roses and more lavender, (cant have enough lavender, got different types
I feel good now after thinking about all that
Found red sunflowers last year, and black poppies, they are gorge , big double head like peony, right dark puple, got loadss of seeds, and they going in cottage border
Roll on a bit of sun, got to get out there,
    Thanks:cool:
