Im someone that needs faith so am happy to give up for lent, i'm not as much of a church goer as i was a few years back, my local church really helped me through some dark days so i try to be good xxx honest i do try xxx

u can do it! 40 days goes quick! I gave up alcohol and fizzy last year, it done me the world of good xxx

as i knew i was gonna have sooooo many injections at three dif places in my mouth,( dentist seemed to enjoy jabbing hard?:eek: ) i used a gum numbing gel, which was brill as you dont feel needle go in, which helps alot,:D
so i recommend that.
its oral gel extra strength for toothache.:D

Thanks toniq, actually fizzy would be something else i should give up, ok i'm gonna do it, i will give up fizzy and chocolate for lent (oh dear what am i letting myself in for:eek: ) will keep the crisps otherwise i'll definitely fail!!

Oh, I respect others' beliefs, and have nothing against Lent, don't get me wrong!!:A I just don't follow any religion, so feel it would be hypocritical to celebrate religious festivals.

Toni in my youth, I was a (wait for it) Sunday School Teacher. but now not practicing, but a believer. Buddhism is also a wonderful religion. I try to incorporate and understand all beliefs, religions and from the information I have, use my own judgement but I do believe, I also believe in Karma. Red Indian beliefs also are close to my heart. I would never criticise another religion because we all are different and our circumstances of birth place and culture are not of our choosing. I will only criticise a persons right to take another life using religion as a cause. Preaching over. xxxxxx

Evening all!!
For lent im giving up Chocolat, crisps, cakes, Cheese, bread, sweets and alcohol!!! ... and hopefully i'll be giving up a few of my spare tummy tyres along the way LOL

Should I be worried, my 2 yo won't go to bed until she has said 'night night' to all her crayons????? 'Night night red' 'night night purple' 'night night yellow' and so on .....................
