If anyone is doing the rhubarb, you can get bags of frozen ready peeled and chopped from farmfoods - less than £1 per bag so as cheap as fresh. I defrost first, and stew 400g with 2 teaspoons splenda - only takes about 10 minutes. I split between 4 rammekins (sp?) and keep in the fridge. I buy those packs of 4 little tubs of ambrosia low fat custard. 1 rammekin of rhubarb and half a pot of custard poured on top heats up in a minute in the microwave and makes a nice little hot pud for around 65 calories :A
I was in Farm Foods on Friday, and they had huge 500g bags of tropical fruit for smoothee making 39p each or 10 for a £1 (bought 20) dated August 2009.
They should be fine for stewing as well, was a mix of Banana, pineapple, papayo and mango. My light may be on, but that doesn't always mean I am looking at the PC - I am far more likely to be cuddling or feeding Tianna atm, so please don't think I am ignoring you if I don't reply quickly

Oh, I can't believe I forgot to say had an ITV call today............
Think I have been chosen to be one of the names on the phone when Ant and Dec do the advert competition this coming weekend. I don't know too many details as OH took the call when he was in charge of the expert this afternoon, and relations between us are a bit frosty as he was a bit confrontational with the man by all accounts so I'm p'd off.
Has anyone done it before, or can anyone remember what the deal is. Not sure if it's that bit where I have to swot up on what's in the news, think I am getting muddled but not entirely sure! But there are dreams that cannot be,and there are storms we cannot weather!0 -
for pud today i had vegan jelly, custard made with soya milk bananas and dates for sweetness and some pineapple n other fruit chunks with vegan cream, was really nice.

Mmmmmmm I've been having this with a banana chopped in it and some berries, is lovely!
thats what I used to do as well, chopped apple was nice as well, and I have a dreadful sweet tooth so often chucked extra splenda in, yummy....
Its also nice in the mornings as a dip for some crunchy toast.
I lost 2 stone last year with slimming world, but have fallen by the wayside when the meeting time changed. My light may be on, but that doesn't always mean I am looking at the PC - I am far more likely to be cuddling or feeding Tianna atm, so please don't think I am ignoring you if I don't reply quickly

Evening all. :hello:
Went to the pictures this afternoon to see Bolt in 3D, which was fun... until the screen went black! After 5 minutes sitting in the dark, :rotfl: the staff came in and announced that the projector bulb had blown and they didn't have a replacement! They gave us all 2 free tickets each so wasn't that bothered I suppose, especially as it was snowing quite heavily when we arrived and I was a bit worried about getting home again!
Seems we made the right decision not to go to Paris because we'd have missed our Eurostar train as we'd have been stuck in the massive traffic jam caused by the Severn bridges being closed! Not only that, looks like schools are closed again tomorrow because our council has already decided to cancel school transport, even though the roads are perfectly clear and there's no more snow forecast until tomorrow night. It's getting ridiculous now, there's been no school since last Monday morning when they were sent home early and with more snow forecast, who knows when they'll get back to school!
Mamzie, where in Wales are you from?
Speaking of cats bringing in presents (as you were hours ago - I've only just caught up), this is what our skinniest, more timid cat brought in a few months ago
Oh ... and I took our youngest to see Chuckle Brothers for his birthday when he was little. They were fab and we even queued to see them afterwards so they could say Happy Birthday! :rotfl:
