Good morning all, and how are we this sunny Thursday?

Hopefully the sun will mean I have a better day today... then I can really put it down to the weather. Slept better last night, which should help too.

I hope those who were feeling down/ill etc yesterday have a better day today.

Was supposed to go to London today but because of the train ticket costs we are staying local and off to the cinema to see pink panther 2 and pizza express.

Very behind with comping... up to date with postals/phone but online ones i've got to do those ending tom, and there are loads......

Oh yes, I said I would miss something out! RCB, your son is a mini-me of his Daddy isn't he??!! That's a beautiful pic, thanks for sharing, you must be so very proud and justifiably so. He looks like a little angel with that hair, but I hope he isn't :rotfl:

Haven't been able to read back so i hope everyones well and still being lucky

Dh told me yesterday that last week his boss told them all that they'd have to take a pay cut (a lot of men have already been laid off) i dont know why he didnt tell me, he's been worrying about it by himself for the past week!
Anyway he's gone to see someone else about a new job today, thing is the pay is less (about the same as the lower wage with his current job) but there are other benefits like more overtime available, more holiday days, plus he'd get a pension which he doesn't get with his current job.
There are so many people worse off (at least he still has a job) so i feel bad for complaining but i really need to get it off my chest.
Could do with a win (even a small one!) to cheer me up today!

Hi grannysmither. Yes your OH still has a job but taking a pay cut is still a worry and you shouldn't feel bad for being concerned about it. The new job does sound better with the added benefits so fingers crossed he is successful.

It's a tough, grim world out there at the moment....comping is the only way most of us get any luxuries these days, I'd say. Hope we all win holidays to let us escape it all for a while.
