The Compers Inn - Part 13

Good evening everybody, hope you are all as well as can be.
My inlaws have only just gone home after arriving at 10 this morning! Loooong day!
I wonder if any of you can give me some advice, or tell me that I'm not being unreasonable at least.
I have 2 children, DS who is 3 and DD who is 2. Quite often, my inlaws buy DS a present when they visit or send new clothes over etc. But very rarely do they send DD anything! Before when this happened, I didn't think anything of it because DD was too young to notice and I thought they were just helping me out with my continually growing son! But now, DD (Holly) is more than aware of whats happening and I think its really unfair!
Sorry for rambling, I hope I've made sense, I just wanted to moan a bit I suppose, feel sorry for my little girl.EXTRA GOOD LUCK EVERYONE FOR 2015. XXX

jenni, that is really unfair and best thing is to speak to inlaws about it and ask them why
do they favour your son more over your daughter? either way it cant carry on as your dd is getting to an age now where she will notice, believe me ive been in similar situation with my mil

You should definitely mention it - could your OH mention it first? I'd be dying to mention it. Tactfully, of course, but it does need talking about. I'm assuming that both of your little ones are blood relatives of your in-laws.
Even if they are not, it is wrong for a little one to witness such constant and repeated favouritism.
You (or your OH) could mention that she has started to notice and was upset.
They may not be aware of what has happened, although that would seem surprising.
Hope you manage to sort it out. Good luck.Al Mac Appreciation Society No. 188

thanks ricky and princess pixiedust.
I think I'll have to have a word. Yes Ricky, they are both blood relatives of my inlaws. I just think, or, I just hope, that they haven't realised what they are doing. You are both right, I'll have to sort it, it just isn't fair on my little girl.
Thanks for replying, I suppose I knew all along that I had to have a word with them, I think I just needed to have a bit of back up and have a shout about it cos OH won't help.
Thanks again.
