Should I switch to n power?
On Thursday a nice man appeared at my front door, to save me money! He was from n power.
Because I pay my gas and electric from scottish power and British gas and use pre payment meters, i spend approx £20 on each every 5 days, which may sound high, but I have a 4 bedroomed house a partner and our 4 kids. so there are a few appliances on and washing machine is on loads.
I work full time and my partner is at uni, so everyone is usually out during the week days.
The "nice man" told me I could save at least £5 for every £20 I put in my prepayment meter, as their tarrif was lower. I have had a wee look and noticed that their standing charges appear more though?
Obviously I want the best value for money, and ideally I would have normal meters, but due to past bad credit and being a student myself the pre pay was the best way to avoid high bills, I may not have been able to manage.
Any help on this would be fab. I took the deal, but Im having second thoughts., and have a 14 day cooling off period.
Is there any possibility that if I call scottish power to tell them of my intention to leave and ask if they can put in ordinary meter on cheaper tarrif they would? like wise for the Gas?
Thanks in advance x:A

First thing I would do is cancel the swith to nPower signing over at the door is very unlikely to get you best deal, have a look on the comparison sites as they do include PPM's.
Scottish Power when you call them won't be able to do anything as they will be not be the supplier in about 28 days all they can do is win you back as a new customer.0 -
