turps??

Not so much a diy problem as a cleaning one, yesterday whilst painting my kitchen got a nice big blob of paint on my top, used turps and got it out. I have now washed it 3 times and it still stinks of turps, does anyone know how to get rid of the smell!!! :D

    Hi,

Turps won't dissolve with water, which is why it's so difficult to get rid of the smell. Try rubbing concentrated washing up liquid into the area then rinse. You'll probably have to do this several times but the soap should help the turps mix with the water.
