O2 broadband charge - sneaky workaround?

If you have someone in the family thats on o2 (not using o2 BB) then you can link a o2 BB package to their mobile contract and get the £5/month discount instead of taking out a new PAYG contract yourself.

Sounds like you are on the BT Wholesale supplied O2 and not on O2 LLU.

or you're on one of the exchanges that o2 are upgrading capacity on..

i'm on o2 bb, and have no apparent slow down ever, and get a faster line than any other provider can give me..

It was widely suggested a few months ago that O2 had indeed started to throttle.. 2 of my mates have just binned them to and were on the LLU kit.

That said, have never heard anyone swap them for Tiscali and the happy about it!
