Are we entitled to a Blue Badge

Hi
My son receives DLA at the higher rate and mobility at the lower rate. My son can't wear shoes for long (he removes them and will walk barefooted) so we have to go virtually everywhere by car.
Can you tell me if we are entitled to a blue badge and if so, where/how do I apply?
Many thanks
Terri

Hi
try your local social services, they have the application packs. I completed my last application for my son at the library via video link, they even took his photo with the webcam, very impressive.
Good luck, they are worth there weight in gold xback to comping :beer:0 -
You may qualify under your local authorities discretionary criteria - it's worth applying, I have similar issues with my autistic son and we argued the case and were given a badge under discretionary rules as legally you only qulaify if you get HIGHER rate mobility of have a permanent and substantial disability to both upper limbs0

Thank you, I will check it out with my council.0
