I really dont know anything about insurance so here goes..
I've seen a car on Ebay which I'm interested in.Its close to Luton Airport so I can get a flight down for a few quid.
Will I be covered to drive it home if I decide to buy ?

have you got any insurance at all? We don't possess crystal balls I'm afraid.0

You will need to insure the car before driving the new car unless you have a garage type of policy that covers you driving any vehicle.0

It is possible to buy a 1 day insurance policy though I can't quite remember the web page for you at 4am but I'm sure if you google it you'll find one.0

If you have a current fully comp cover for yourself for another car then you may be insured third party only.... and only IF the car that you buy is insured by the current keeper.0

2. The other vehicle doesn't necessarily need to be insured.
3. there is no 3.0 -

The driving other car benefit (DOC) only applies to vehicles not belonging to you or hired to you under a hire purchase agreement.
If you buy the car you cannot use the DOC benefit on your policy.0 -

Do some quotes online before you go to view.
Take them with you. If you decide to buy you can then arrange cover to start immediately by buying over the phone after you have done the deal.
But if the car needs taxing, then you could be stuck - as you won't have a certificate to show at the post office, so wouldn't be able to buy a tax disc. (In this scenario, if the vendor has insurance for the car, then the vendor could buy the tax)0
