Claire's Accessories Surprise Bag - £3.00

Hi Everyone
Had a quick look but can't see that anyone has posted this yet.
While shopping in Claire's I noticed they have the surprise bags available. You get 10 sale items for £3.00.
I purchased 2 bags and I reckon the value in each is over £30.00. My 2 bags both contained a purse which new would be £8.00.
Obviously the surprise bit is you don't know what you are getting but even if you only got 1 or 2 decent things they would still be worth more than what you paid for the whole bag.
The assistant told me that it is limited stock only.
This is in Ipswich store but presumably is available in all stores.

I used to work in Claires, and had to make these up every year!
Usually just full of tat and leftovers from the sale, and usually quite a few christmas items in them too.
We were always told to put around 8 items in them, usually 3/4 pairs of earrings, a necklace, couple of hair bobbles/clips and something christmasy.
A few years ago we had loads of red tinsel boobles left, and they all went in them!
We used to pick the good items out, and put them in bag to keep aside for ourselves, plus 50% staff discount, so the best bits are prob all gone by now!0 -
i bought one a few years ago and the stuff was quite rubbish back then
i got a beaded necklace and a large turquiose bangle, 2 blue sequin bangles and a glasses case
i didnt wear them for ages until last year when it actually ok to wear it(by that i mean it's in fashion, back when i bought it, it wasnt)
tbh the stuff is quite bad0 -

My DD is 5 and she loves them. Most of the stuff isn't that brilliant, but there's usually one or two nice bits and DD just loves the element of surprise! I also try to get themm when they're on bogof. But I think they travel around the various branches because an SA in Claires told me one time that they had on display were being shipped out to another branch the following day.
JxxAnd it looks like we made it once again
Yes it looks like we made it to the end0 -

There is 4 Claires all within a 5 min walk in Glasgow city center, and we used to have to hump bags of them to other stores!0 -
I think it's OK for the younger girls, but the older ones are likely to be more fussy and find less that they actually like in them. These are available every year, and most of the year round, as mentioned after all the sales the bags are made up.A waist is a terrible thing to mind.0

The Claires outlet store in Bridgend often has 10 items for £5 in the sale. You can pick the 10 items yourself. Brilliant value and it includes the bigger stuff on top of the sale stands (like handbags, jewellery boxes, nail polish sets) but most people seem to ignore them.
Last time I bought I had some lovely jewellery stands and sterling silver earrings and belts in my 10 items. When I added up I had over £60 worth of goods and DD was sorted for her friends Xmas presents.
I've never bought the goodie bags as they are always open in my local Claires and I can see what tat is in them. I'm sure the kids swop them about to get a decent bag.~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)

My DD and her friend got these last time they had these bags during the sale. They spent ages feeling all the bags to try and get a good one! I deliberately let them choose their bags so I wouldn't get the blame if they ended up with rubbish!! My DD got some really good stuff, there was make up,bangles, pencil/make-up cases, pen sets and earrings unfortunately her pal didn't get such good stuff but they had a bit of a swap round of stuff and both were happy. The only thing which was not good to them were the earrings as neither of them have pierced ears. Claire's stuff is well overpriced anyway but if you get one or two things they like in it then its worth it.0

Thanks for this
my DD bought one today and loves all her goodies. There are plenty in Hanley if anyone round this way is looking for them.
