Just about to book my Summer Holiday

What I want to know is, can you haggle with the Travel Agent.

For example, if the package holiday is costing around £550, could I say Im not paying anymore than £500 for it and expect to get it.

As far as I know Travel Agents get commission on each holiday they sell which is why they can drop the price.

Any tips/info would be great.

If you're booking something from a brochure, have a look here and give them a ring for a price.

Also, they don't charge a credit card fee so that can save you another 1-2%.

there is always the old "we wont be beaten on price" to fall back on in my high street there are 4 travel agents within 100m of each other i got a holiday off the net then just trawled up & down the high st eventually saving an extra 10%
