I was banking with Nationwide and Natwest but owe them money for overdrafts so I set up the co-op cashminder and cancelled all my D/D's from the old accounts.

I am currently setting the D/D's up again using the cashminder account.

After talking to National Debtline the other day I went to Nationwide and Natwest and withdrew all available funds.

You are doing everything in the right order, just make sure that there is no cash in there the day you go BR because that will be seen as an asset. The OR is not going to look at the account after BR, just before and on the day, so keep transactions simple and above board and take out the cash before the day....

I'll take all my money out then. Will the OR not wonder why I have empyied the account?

Will he/she not think I'm up to no good?

Just say you have taken your living expenses out in case your account got frozen. That is the truth.

I really feel like I'm getting somewhere here so THANK YOU ALL SO VERY MUCH. I've got a party to go to tonight and feel in a much better mood.

So if the OR doesn't look at my account after the day of bankruptcy then how do they keep an eye on how you are bahaving til you are dismissed from bankruptcy???

Yep I'm planning to withdraw the lot just before I go to court on Monday. I have a speeding fine to pay then too! The irony of it all... That will leave £25 pound for the month...

    Hope that helps

Be as open and honest....just answer the questions they ask & you'll be fine (dont feel you need the urge to give them any more information they didnt ask for!)

There is also the possibility that, like me, you will be sending them your payslips for two or three months aftr BR just to get a feel of your reduced income so they will see from that how much you are earning.
