banging door driving me insane!!

hello,
I have a bit of a problem ...
I live in a rented house and my LL is currently away on holiday (for 6 weeks!). The lounge door has a bracket on it to close it as its a fire door although we had bungs in the way to keep it open as it gets to warm in there. The problem is that the bracket seems to have fallen and everytime the door is opened it bangs against the door.
My room is next door to the lounge and when the others stay up late it drives me insane (each time they go to the kitchen, toilet, to fetch something etc). If the door is left open then I can hear them talking/yelping/shouting etc .....
I have even taken a picture as i proably havent explained it that well.
Noisy flippin door
Thanks
Jen

The joys of flat sharing:rolleyes:
Your photo does not show the location for the bracket free arm. It is possibly a loose fixing screw(s)? Maybe all it requires is tightening?"A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Check the fixing screws, this problem of the arm rubbing on the top of the door, is quite a common one with door closers. It is often due to loose fixing screws.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
the arm needs tightening up on the door closer (the part fastened to the door)if you think peoples advice is helpfull please take the time to clicking the thank you button it gives great satisfaction0
