Is it a Depression yet? part 2

I recently asked this question on a thread on here. Although some replies were relevant and educational , thankyou peope, some were degrogatory and childish
you know who you are.
Well it was a good question after all, at least the PM thinks it is a world Depression. So a pertinant post I think.
:j

So, given everyones expertese on here, how long do you think were all going to be in this situation? What will it be that takes us back to growth?
Discuss and enjoy.:rotfl:

If there was anyone here who knows the answers they are in the wrong job. No one knows. The people who run the country don't know so why would any doom mongers here have any idea about it.
I came in to this world with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

I think unfortunately it's heading that way, Brown has backed himself and the country into a corner, with little chance of escape. 10 years minimum.

Might be worth posting a poll for that one Mewbie, I can't quite make my mind up on that one, but for the OP, I can see this going down a familiar route:D Methinks a depression part 3 might be in order. Alternatively, you could look on a different board for "relevant & educational"

Like ad, I can't see a quick fix here, nor a return to the days of Empire. We will have to learn how to take the place we deserve in the world, bearing in mind our resources, fiscal, material & human. The latter are probably not as weak as some people paint them, but we shall need to overcome the stultifying hands of bureaucracy and the old boy network before they can be fully exploited, as they were in the last World War.

My qualifications for predicting the economic future are nil, but I have great confidence in what I say, derived mainly from a full appreciation the Scottish whisky industry.

We are not yet in a depression as i think we are just into mild ressession stage..This has a long way to go before it has unravelled and run its course
It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.
  • the more people keep talking about it the deeper it will be and the harder it will be to get out of im fed up of people going on about doom and gloom .personally i dont buy a paper and avoid the news have done for years .chin up and get on with it i think these sort of posts should be banned off this site after all it wont be called moneysaving expert soon there will be nothing to spend
