Blocking adult websites etc

I have AVG installed on my p.c and have windows xp . As my kids are now using the internet alot more for homework and playing games can anyone please tell me how to block access to unsuitable websites .

If you are using Internet Explorer (yikes!! ;-) there are settings to filter content.
Start/Control Panel/Internet Options, then click the tab for CONTENT & enable the Content Advisor.0 -

Just to the right of the search box, there is a option to go to Preferences, scroll down and you come to SafeSearch Filtering, choose the filtering level you require.0
