My partner even said he would buy the part and fit in himself to which the LL objected!
I would assume the landlord objected because this would invalidate the warranty.
You are not being unreasonable to expect a repair within three weeks. The landlord obviously has no sympathy if he is shrugging it off, but at the same time he is reliant on the company who are fixing it. I would be inclined to complain to the company rather than the landlord - they are the ones who are causing the delay.0
