Does anyone know how or in which way I may be able to use/redeem Lloyds TSB Trustcard points?-I have thousands of them as per my statement, but have no idea if they can be exchanged for discounts, freebies etc--

From time to time, you should get a leaflet included with your statement which gives information on using your points. The deal is mainly discounts on vouchers, eg you use 100 points and get £100 worth of vouchers for £90. Vouchers can be used at stores such as John Lewis, Waterstones, Halfords, Waitrose, B & Q, Argos, Debenhams, Boots, BHS, Homebase, House of Fraser, Currys, and many more.

You phone the Trustcard number, quote the retailer and the value of vouchers and pay with your Trustcard.

So say you wanted to buy a washing machine costing £300 from Argos, you would order £300 worth of Argos vouchers using 300 points and £270 would go on your card.

You need to allow up to 14 days for delivery, and as far as I know the vouchers have the name of the store on them so can't be used anywhere else. Also bear in mind that you pay for them on your card, so if you don't clear the balance in full each month there will be interest added.

It's a bit of a fiddle, which is perhaps why I've also got thousands of the points unused! Just remember to order the vouchers in good time.
