I sure will!
Interesting to see so many different opinions on Key West! Our current plan is to stay down there for one night. Travelling isn't really too much of an issue for me as I do a nearly 2 hour, each way, commute to work every day
Keep the advice coming....... and thanks to those of you for already posting

its not the distance that makes it a long drive, its more the reduced speed limit, it think its 50 miles per hour rather than our 70 (or if you drive 2 hours a day probably a bit over).Ready to Go Go!0

I went there a couple of years ago. Did 2 nights in Key largo, which was OK but nothing special (that's where the African Queen is), stopped off at Duck Key which has a stunning resort hotel (pricey), and spent 3 nights in Key West. Stayed in the Quality Inn which is at the entrance to Key West - wouldn't recommend it.
My family and I all (one teen, two boys under 10) loved key West and would go back there, but would stay at one of the better hotels or in one the the many B&Bs around Duval St. Very atmospheric place, great sunset gatherings every night at mallory Sq, reasonable prices, some great meals out.0 -
Went to Key West last year and stayed 3 nts in Courtneys Place. Thoroughly recommended. In the middle of Old town but very quiet. A lot of people expect the Keys to look like Caribbean and are disappointed but we loved the atmosphere ( party town)!! Good places to stop on the way down are Robbies Marina (mile marker 77.5). Buy a bucket of fish and feed wild Tarpon off the dock. Amazing!! Also stop at Bahia Honda State Park. Great place to relax and have a swim. Enjoy!0
