Can I Reclaim PPI from insurance administrator

Options
A year ago I tried to reclaim ppi payments from Central Trust PLC for loans taken out in June 2002 & March 2003, both loans were repaid early in November 2004, when we sold our house.
I got a letter back saying they were not members of the FSA at the time I took out the loan, so had no claim.
Today I found some old paper work with a leaflet on PPi, on the back it says
This insurance is administered by Wims Ltd, Wims is a member of the GISC, could I put in a claim to them, I know its too late for the June 2002.
Any Ideas would be greatly appreciated

Are insurance adminsitrators the same as the underwriters??

I have a complaint in with the FOS about a rebate i received with my insurance as the selling is outside the jurisdiction of the FOS. FOS advised me that this type of complaint lies with the underwriters.

I would imagine that this may be possible. Don't know about the misselling though??

ALso its not too late for the FOS if this complaint is worded right and you only just became aware and they were members of the GISC at the time of your complaint.

Your other option is maybe a court case or company that would handle this for you.

Perhaps some others will be along soon to help. SOrry cannot help you further.

Thank you, its all so new, I think I'm just fed up, because one of the loans when I paid it off, I owed more than I had borrowed, despite paying 18 months of payments at £204.

Like I say there are other on here that could help. If no-one comes along tonight then perhaps bump the thread again. I feel sorry that I cannot help further but I have not come across this. I know the GISC matters in complaints to the FOS so that is a good sign and also they can look at complaints over 6 years ago if you only just became aware of this.

Hope someone else posts soon for you.;)

If not there is always the courts and claims companies too. Just don't give up
