Wifes laptop running slow, found above was using up most of the processor time, stopped it for the moment using task manager.
Google shows it to be possibly dodgy.
Running Malware Bytes at present.
Is it iffy and how do I remove it?

  • Yep, just found it. Don't know why it was running though as the camera was not attached. I'll let MB run though and see if it picks anything up.
    Thanks.

you probably need it to NOT run on startup...do you have spybot ?? if so use the system startup facility to prevent it running when you turn on pc. Or CCleaner has a similar feature, and there are others you could use for this too...

  • Its not normally set to run on startup, that's why I had the question. MB found 2 nasties so these may have contributed in some way. I'll check when I've got a chance to see if there's any other problem. Unfortunately OH wants to know what I do and I suspect she'll try to remove something she should'nt without my being there and then cause some worse problems.

if you've cleaned the MBAM results, try shutting down the pc, restart after 20-30 secs, and see if it's running again...

Post the mbam log it might just be dormant entries in system restore.

I'm getting conflicting report on this software. Some say it's safe other dangerous.

    Help!
