I think most people will tell you if your paying for the IVA your paying to much contact CCCS or Payplan and they can probably help you out the same as any othere company that charges. If it doesnt pay rent sell it.

Could anyone help I had an IVA and have been sent a letter from Jefferson Hobbs yesterday. and have had previous trouble with other people chaseing debt outstanding, Did you respond to them? what was it about? should I contact them at all? I thought all my debt problems had been resolved after the IVA had finished. any advice would be great0

This company has nothing to do with fees. They are looking to make people cancel their IVA's and push them towards bankruptcy. You cannot take someone from an IVA purely for the purpose of lowering the payment or avoiding fees. All companies adhere to guidelines when setting the payment and all have the same rules. Lowering the payment would merely mean the IVA were less likely to complete. Anyway, these companies are looking to make people bankrupt on the ground of bankruptcy payment orders only being 3 years instead of five. This is all well and good unless you have assets to protect or your job doesnt allow you to file for bankruptcy. Be very wary of companies making such claims. This industry is completely unregulated. Anyone with no experience could open such a company tomorrow and it would be perfectly legal as bankructy regulation falls between the cracks of the office of fair trading and the financial ombudsman. If you want correct advice speak to a licenced insolvency practitioner. If you are already in an IVA then you have already done this. Believe their hype at your peril!0

No, steer clear. Honour your IVA arrangement unless you get a big inheritance/windfall and can afford to settle with the IVA provider yourself.
Best wishes. x0 -

I just relieved a letter today to from this company, I have been from bankruptcy for 4 years now, so don't see why they have contacted me. :j:rotfl:0

I received a letter, today, asking me to call them on 0800 433 2220 "as we have a number of issues that we feel you may be interested in" Since I am not in the habit of contacting people I do not know I did some research and discovered that this firm is under a "Voluntary Arrangement" and one of the directors has been involved in several other companies, all dissolved. I can not imagine what they would have to say that could be of interest to anyone, let alone me. Good advice on this forum which I shall endorse - ignore any communications from this company.0
