Council tax overpayments?

I posted a while ago about my council tax and hosuing benefit overpayments.
I have the HB money sitting in my account, im just waiting for them to tell me where to pay it back to but they weren't sure what would happen about the council tax money i owe.
I think it's roughly about £200 i owe them, could be more now they have my tax credit notice, so could this be added on to next years bill or do they normally expect the payment back in full?
Even though they had 6 weeks advance notice of my change of income, they were still paying me and even now they cant seem to give me the info to pay it back to them
Thanks,
GM

They are completley useless...and rather than helping most times they just wind people up in a more difficult situation with their miscalculations and poor administration....
As you have notified them, you have a right to appeal to any monies that they wish to claim back... 6 weeks notice of your change of situation is more than enough for them to get their finger out and amend your claim..
Though what ever you do do not spend the money, they will come asking for it soon. I would keep contacting them until you get through to someone who will advise you on where to send it. Call them and take names and direct line numbers and also send letters..MFWB

Thanks,
I have moved the HB money into my empty savings account, so it is sitting there waiting for them to ask for it back.
They told me it will take 4 weeks to sort my claim out after the recieved my tax credits award, i got that back last week ( ripped and sellotaped back up!) so i expect i will hear from them by the end of Feb.
I know im not entitled to anything once they include my tax credits, as my HB was only £17 pw and they were taking £16 pw to claw back the overpayment.Lightbulb moment Dec 2005 - debt £23700
