Ripped off by Travelex

Laughed when I read somebody went to change £100 in Scottish notes to English notes and only got £970

Some banks will make a £5 charge if you are using a debit card to purchase currency from a currency supplier, such as Travelex and the PO (although PO will usually process as a cash transaction, taking out cash and then applying cash to the currency transaction), I think most, but not all do this.
Lloyds/TSB charged me £10 for pre-booking Travelex. When I challenged them, they blamed VISA and told me that was what they get charged and they simply pass it on - a likley story.
