Hi, I'm a Newbie, to the chat forum, but a long time money saver.

I wonder if anyone can help me out. I am looking for a reliable electrician in the Bridgend area, but do not have any contacts as we are new to the area.

Whenever I move to a different area (husband has job that requires moving a lot) to find an electrician we log onto the NICEIC website and choose a registered electrician in my area. Apparently they have been rigorously tested before they can join the NICEIC and have annual 'checkups' to see that they continue to be up to standard. This almost certainly weeds out any rogue traders. Plus the NICEIC has a complaints procedure under which they guarantee to put anything right which isn't, so you can't lose out.

Give it a try, its worth it for a guaranteed safe installation.
