Depends what you are selling and where you got it. Most people sell unwanted items on Ebay which may bring in a bit of cash but isn't really "making money"0

i mean from like wholesalers e.t.c?0

or dropshippers?0

Depending what you bought & for what price then yes you could easily make quite a bit.....but you do run the risk of getting stuck with a large number of things that won't sell!!! And you would need the time to get to the post office frequently, which depending on your hours of work (if your full-time) would obviously be a problem.
I know one of my OH colleague's wife buys like baby grows etc cheap on ebay in bulk, and then sells them at car boots, apparently she makes quite a few easy quid from this, but it would depend I suppose on the quality/price of things you could get hold of.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
Yes, if you can buy in at the right price, Ebay can be good and doesn't involve setting up a market stall and standing around in all weathers! Some people have made a fortune on Ebay - in fact, several hundred make their living on it.0

It really depends what you are selling on ebay - check out ebay pulse for the top sellers and what they are selling. Alot of people use ebay as their main source of income but like I say it really depends what you had in mind to sell.
Dropshipping can cause a lot of probs, although I am sure it works for some - check out the ebay board on the forum.

My Auntie buys antiques and sells them on ebay. She makes enough from it to be worth her while, but she does say that she gets the silliest things asked - like is this plate blue & white? When theres a picture of it, and in the description she's put blue & white!Lol!Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

Ye. I seem to have found a great supplier aswell :-) just hadnt had the time to fully exploit all the goods. But sold 100 items in a week so not bad ;D.
But is it actually worth trying harder, because i make a small profit but not as much as i would like due to the extensive ebay charges!0 -
Also dont forget to do it though a cash back site if your buying things in cheap and selling them , like tesco says , every little helps and if you can get 2 or 3 quid back on something you buy in , could be just worth itCashback: £0.00

My problem with Ebay is their insistence on offering Paypal, who in turn, offers no protection to sellers. They say they do, but it is easy for an unscrupulous buyer to shaft you by feeding a line to Paypal who, like Ebay, come down on the buyer's side every time.
For example, a seller cannot leave negative feedback. This was the best way of keeping everyone fair and above board.
These days, I may buy on Ebay, but not sell as I don't feel safe there, anymore.
As for car boots... get the right product and you're quids in. I just wish I knew what was the right product!! :rotfl:
