Unfortunately it is the SELECT kitchen range and this is not available in store. It is only available as a delivery from the central warehouse.

I think people at B&Q customer services know who I am now as I made one call this after and spoke to an operator I had never spoken to and after I explained my story again he said "Are you Mr *****" which I was!

I sent an email last night through the kingfishers website last night and that managed to get the the B&Q CEO office. I had a call from someone who is now going to track my case and try and do something about the delivery.

Unfortunately I heard something else today which will make the situation even worse:

"Kingfisher plc, Europe’s leading home improvement retailer, today confirms that a fire in the early hours of this morning has damaged one of B&Q’s home delivery centres in Branston, Staffordshire, UK. There were no injuries.

The fire was restricted to one of four B&Q buildings on a site which handles home deliveries of kitchens. It represented around 24,000 square metres out of a total of 90,000 square metres and held stocks of kitchen worktops, fittings and appliances amounting to approximately 1% of B&Q’s total stock holding.

There will be some impact on customer deliveries of these products, though the full effect is still being assessed. B&Q will be contacting directly all those customers affected.

The site is leased and operated on B&Q’s behalf by TNT. B&Q is insured for both stock and business interruption losses.

All other home delivery and store distribution facilities are unaffected. "

It look like alot more people are going to be having delivery problems over the coming months.
  • well i work for B&Q.....there has been a fire and the times for people waiting on kitchens is now 12weeks compared to the usual 2-3weeks. i deal with deliveries and everyday sumone rings to say that sumthing is missing or damaged, please note also- if u have been given a date for del of a kitchen that is the date of which it has been dispatched not the day you will get it...... it'll be another 2-3days after.. ... :o

I raised a complaint about the poor delivery (prior to the fire) and now I am being dealt with by the CEO Office.

With the fire on Tuesday it sounds the situation must be massively worse.

I don't envy the B&Q customer service staff over the next few months as they will constantly be getting people complaining and asking when the deliveries will be and for once the problem is not B&Q's fault...
