Credit Cards - Going Back?

Hi There,

I'm about to start 'tarting'. I was wondering, once you have had a credit card, used the 0% period then closed it down, are you ever able to have the same credit card again?

  • Hubby had a natwest card until 9 months ago and then I cancelled it.

    He applied for a new 9 month 0% natwest card this week and got immediately accepted.

    It varies for each card provider.

    Timescales range from straight away for Capital One, to 8 months for Mint, and never for Nationwide!

    I closed my Barclays cards this week and when they finaly completed closing them they sent me a mail advising " If you would like to review the decision at any time just apply for a new card at any point we have regualr special offers"
    If it doesnt pay rent sell it.

    I closed my LTSB cc last March and have had a new one with BTs 0% for 9 months for a couple of weeks now.
