Not exactly illegal but .... That's why I think it is a good idea to quote what you said above.
Also the discrepancy between the date of the default on your record and the date it appeared is interesting.
You need to go for them, and include in the Information Commioner as they will probably be breaking the law if they do not remove the default.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -

When you write to Pheonix, send a duplicate copy (cc) to the Information Commissioner. Makes Pheonix aware that you know your rights and they had better jump fast.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0
