I am aware of this, but HMRC will not alter the code without it, so I thought it was worth a try.

Thanks fengirl, I've now emailed my ex employment and requested the P11d. I just didn't want to get in touch with them unless entirely necessary seeing as they unfairly made me redundant and I'm still seething over it!

If you feel you have been treated unfairly in redundancy you have some recourse thru acas, talking to an advisor there should be free and you will be told if you have been treated unfairly and are entitled to compensation.

• Right, amazingly they emailed my P11d to me today!

Total cash equivalent of all cars available in 2007-08 £3834

Private medical treatment or insurance £346

Oh I've just noticed that's for 2007-8 *sigh* That's fairly typical of them. However this year should be roughly the same. This year my medical insurance ended 21st November and my car 3rd January. Can anybody help please? Just a very rough figure or range would be wonderful.

Wookey thanks for your comment. I am currently appealing and awaiting the decision, and will be taking them to a tribunal. They're making me sweat, told me it would take 7-10 days but it's now 3 weeks and still no response

It will allways take time for these things, if they know they are at fault they will most likely settle just before any tribunal is about to be heard, GL.

Have you exceluded any redundancy pay from the above figures? as the first £30k is paid tax free.

Interesting they've emailed you the 2007-2008 P11D today, you should have had this quite a while ago, as if you were completing self assessment you needed to submit by 31st Jan!

Ahh that's a good point, £1980 of that sum is redundancy pay.

They emailed me the P11D only because I requested the 08/09 one, and they obviously didn't read it properly and sent me the old one.

So that's:

Total pay: £44,076 or £42,096 without redundancy pay
Total tax: £12,601
Tax code: 145L

From December to the end of March I'll have received JSA of £1028

Car cash equivalent £3834 pro rata to 5th Jan (9 months so approx £3000)

Private medical treatment or insurance £346 pro rata (8 months so approx £215)

Anyone? Please?
