Hi. Sorry to hear about your circumstances...mus be awful, just going through the process myself.
Would it not be easier just to tell your parents? when i first told my parents of my intentions they were horrified but now they understand it is the best option and will represent a new start for me and my family.
It's not the end of the world, you haven't committed a crime, i'm not you but just think it may be the only option.0 -

This thread is confusing me. Why does the OR need to know your parents details? I have no intention of telling my parents either. Is this a problem?Come ride with me, through the veins of history...

Yep. And the OR/trustee can look back up to 5 years for this type of thing.
And with an associate or family member then......A person is an associate of an individual if that person is the individual’s husband or wife, or a relative, or the husband or wife of a relative, or the individual or the individual’s husband or wife. Where an individual has entered into an undervalue transaction with an associate, it is presumed that the individual was insolvent at the time (see paragraph 31.4.2). It is presumed that the person did not act in good faith.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

The law presumes so much, moreso in the case of anything to do with money. Guilty until proven innocent appears to be the given line when you're dealing with your own money in this country. Makes me sick. As stated in another thread, the Bulger murderers received anonimity and eventual liberty, bankrupts get treated like the proverbial s**t and in this case, may pay for their actions for life. It's disgusting.
