Selling to a Housing Association

My friend has a house in W Yorkshire which she is having real trouble selling. I have heard that some housing associations (HAs) buy individual houses to add to their portfolio. Does anyone know of any HAs that are doing this?

Do you know why she cannot sell?0
-
Because she is asking too much.0

She is seling because she is in debt up to her eyeballs. She has reduced the price 4 times - now at £99k - I love the way that some people know the answer even when they don't know the circs:p0

Why does your friend want to sell to a HA? They will not pay any more than anyone else.0

Well makes total sense to me as HA don't have to sell first, pretty straight forward if it was truesave 10k by Dec 2009 10,000/ 3034.000

And they may be the only people with the money to buy in some areas. Her house has been on the market for over a year and, as I say, she's reduced the price 4 times. I don't think HA's will pay any more for the house - probably less, but at least it would sell, so she can pay off her debts.0
