Really don't know how long i can cope with all this

I'm having a real down day today, been sending token payments to creditors since Dec along with letters (written by Payplan) explaining the situation and our income & expenditure.

I totally accept that we owe the money and we took the credit in the first place, I'm just fed up with all the letters either ignoring the fact that we have contacted them or admiting the got the letters but ingoring how much we have spare each month.

Just received 3 default notices, HSBC CC, Abbey CC and Egg CC telling me if i don't pay X amount by X date they MAY start court procedings.

Also thin I am about to be let down with my childcare so will have to either fork out for childcare (contacted tax credits and they can give £20 a month:eek: like that will even touch it). or leave my job which means we can't afford the mortgage.

Seriously wondering about going BR, our credit rating is f**ked so we weren't able to remortgage and we are also in negative eq by at least £20K!!!!

Not even really sure what to say, i'm just feeling so poo about everything

Oh MessyMum, sorry to hear all that. I don't have any real knowledge of sorting debt out, there are some really lovely experts on here, but just wanted to send you big hugs.

Sending a virtual choccy bar and cup of tea :)

The letters are standard computer tripe, just ignore them.

The default notices are important, can you post them up here for viewing, or PM me, remove your personal details.

I spoke to CCCS they wern't that helpful just told us to offer token payments as we didn't have enough extra income to go on a DMP.

Then spoke to payplan, again didn't have enough income for a DMP but they did help us out by writting the letters to the creditors which we just had to sign and send.

I have been looking for an evening job to get some extra cash but there isn't anything about, not even our local pubs want glass collectors.

I have been thinking about claiming the bank charges back but am worried that it will make things worse with HSBC (2 overdrafts, CC and Loan).

I shall be going through this in the next month/two months so don't think you're alone.

Hope everything gets sorted - I'm worried too but sure it'll be fine!

P.S I had the same thing with CCCS and Payplan - both said income is too low to go on a DMP so offer token payments until I can afford.

    Start claiming them

The worse that can happen is any money they owe you, they use it to offset your loan / OD.

I just wonder if the creditors would accept things abit more if they had come from Payplan or CCCS.

I had to change phone numbers in the end to stop all the phone calls - up to 10pm at night!! Seriously have they nothing better to do ;)

Creditors/ DCAs don't like accepting reduced payments regardless of who is involved.

You have to understand how the system works.

Those calling you are from a call centre, working to strict targets.

Their sole purpose is to get as much as they can out of you, they're not intrested in your personal circumstances, so don't get stressed when they don't listen to your problems.
