Dog guard for car - recommendations?

Think I'm going to get the tape measure out and measure for a dog crate tomorrow- I think it will be safer too. My OH thinks it will rattle a lot and be annoying when driving - but I guess you can just drown that own with music!

They can rattle a bit but thats easily sorted by placing the crate on some of that non slip webbing stuff and then putting something quite sturdy on the bottom to line the crate - we used a bit of off cut carpet. Also we find the dog travels better if he cant see out so we cover the crate partially with a towel - also helps keeping the sun off him. This too can be used to deaden any rattles by securing it between any clanking bits

I got a crate because young Perry is still a sickie pup on traveling.

I have changed to a canvas one that has windows that you velcro down, because of my bad arm its a lot lighter than the metal crate i have, but the canvas one i loop onto the seat belt with the loop clip i had with his harness which he grew out of, it holds the crate firmly, its sturdy enough.
