I agree with you, no one has stated what age the lady in question happens to be.
However, in response to your figures - if I was a gambling woman I would regard these as pretty good odds.... one person in twenty over the age of 65 and one person in five over the age of 80 will have some degree of dementia.
That means 19 in 20 over 65 WILL NOT, and 4 in 5 over 80 WILL NOT suffer from some degree of dementia.

Good point Margaret, trouble is there's no way of assessing which people are at risk and which aren't and that factored into the age related increased risk of cancer, stroke, and heart disease brings me back to my point about the importance of risk assessment over anticipation.0
