Hi guys i insured my car the other day using my bank account and by mistake i thought i used my GFs bank account which we use for all the bils, my bank account had no money in it and no overdraft and the insurance got taken out which was £76 and because i had no money in the bank and no OD lloyds tsb charged me £75... this is way ott for a charge i thought £30 maybe but £75 that's ridiculos! can they do this? and what can i say to get out of it if i can? its hapened once before and the charge was £83 but i just paid that.. i really don't fancy paying it again.

Evidently they can because they did.
It is probably in their "Terms & Conditions"
Best bet might to own up to being in the wrong through accidently using the wrong account and ask if they can help you................................I have put my clock back....... Kcolc ym0 -

Look to change accounts - those charges are ridiculous and you should tell em to sod-off! Obviously you can't or it'd affect your credit score but it's bang out of order really...... however they are allowed to charge this, it must be in their terms as someone already pointed out...

Set up an overdraft on the account. You don't have to use it, but at times like this you appreciate how it's nice to have it there, just in case.0
