No.....
How much are they asking for the warranty, what is the car.
Just save the money for the rainy day.0 -
mx5 is right.Remember the time he ate my goldfish? And you lied and said I never had goldfish. Then why did I have the bowl Bart? Why did I have the bowl?0

I agree in general no.
However I did read a letter in Honest John about a chap who had researched his particular car and there was apparently a known problem (can't for the life of me remember what) but it was included in the warranty and needless to say the problem came to pass. So my advice would be to check out for any recurring problems and if they are not exluded I would then possibly consider it.0 -
Hi thanks for the replys..ok it is an MG ZR late 2005 more 2006! hmm we have had the central locking done through warranty £180) and something else and cannot think what! when we got it, it was on 29k and is now about 34k off the top of my head..been fine.
Got a call yesterday from the company r.e warranty and it will be £250 for the year..really not sure wether to go for it as seems a lot? head gasket is a fave to go but unsure what else warrants that amount of money?
Thanks for any replies.0 -
will it cover the head gasket? Have you asked?Remember the time he ate my goldfish? And you lied and said I never had goldfish. Then why did I have the bowl Bart? Why did I have the bowl?0

How long have you had it?
If you've done 5k miles in a few months for example, and encountered two problems, then I would be tempted by a warranty, otherwise I would self insure and put the money to one side.matched betting: £879.63

Hi well we bought it in august and apart from those things it has been fine although it has the MOT next month so time will tell! Will enquire r.e the head gasket. The central locking was no suprise to me tbh i hate all this electric rubbish that goes wrong! love the car though!0

Anyone use them? we took out a policy with them in may and sadly three wks ago the water pump seized jamming the head caskets and snapping the timing belt. It took them two wks to decide if they were going to pay out. During this time we had to hire a car at out own expenses then on Wed they agree to pay out, but then after we had handed the hire car back ( we couldn't afford it any more) we were told that we were not intitled to a hire car from them because the standard industrie says that to fix a vauxhall vectra should only take 3.5 hrs regardless of the repair! WD says the repair must take over 8hrs to qualify for a car. That means NOBODY will get a car. Ours will take a day and a half to repair. I;ve searched thru the policy and there is no mention of this guide line regardinga car hire. Sorry if my post is long winded, but I've been thru hell the last two weeks and need help.0

If it’s an unfair or impossible condition it could well be that the FOS will rule in your favour.
Similarly, if the initial decision took an unreasonable amount of time (which it sounds like it did) then any cost you incurred as a result of this might well be recoverable too0
