Gas/oil % price fall since July

Natural gas prices have fallen more than 65% from the July 2 peak of $13.694 a million British thermal units and oil prices have plunged more than 70% since peaking above $145 a barrel.

    Good job we consumers weren't burdened with the same percentage rises when the speculators forced the price up in the first place.

    Is this also a good time to mention that sterling has lost almost 25% against the dollar in recent times?

    Hopefully, sterling is on it's support line, as 2001 and 1993 show, and will work it's way back up. Then, I can convert into USD and buy a 4 bed house with swimming pool, tennis court etc in Florida for £60,000.:j

    Oh, btw, my electricity tariff has doubled since July 2004. Without using a calculator, I guess that is about 20%/year. Not too bad, I guess, for a cartel industry.
