While they might say there's no demand, let people know about them and that will create demand... which then creates a problem for the bank as they'd need to have/pay for space for them all.

Better gold though than notes. Boxes tend to be kept in the basement. When the bank gets flooded, your notes get VERY soggy.....!0

Thanks Reaper, but what sort of dealer would move quantities of gold and silver, to Israel or Egypt and where could I store it?0
-
I was thinking of a gold dealer to sell it to. If you want to move it you'll need a shipping company with suitable insurance. I imaging they would also be able to help advise you about any import/export rules on gold too.0

Just been to NatWest to collect items from deposit box. They were not there!! Bank looking into it. NatWest no longer taking deposit box items.0

Just buy one of these...bolt it to the floor somewhere discrete or secreted in your home.
http://www.thesafeshop.co.uk/Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0 -
Chose and place your box in Oxford St and the fees are much higher then in say Tottenham.
By the way if you have not accessed your box for many years the bank can open the box in the presence of a solicitor and presumably sell off the contents to meet any fees.
Metrobank (sole branch at present in Holborn) lists charges on its website.

A worthwhile bump, contains a lot of good advice for anybody wanting a smooth, instead of a lumpy mattress.
Can recommend HSBC and Lloyds, you provide box and insurance.0
