This website is called moneysavingexpert for a reason, everyone here is suggesting to stay put, as this seems to make most financial sense.
BUT - you need to look at lifestyle. Life is not all about saving money. If you think your place is a bit small, not that nice and in a poor area and can afford to rent somewhere nicer, I see that as a bigger driver than money alone.
Money is not the be all and end all, if you prefer a better standard of living then base your decisions on that aspect.0 -
There's also the thing about doing something in the community to help make it a better place. I know it's not everyone's idea of fun but sometimes voluntering locally can really make a difference.
If all the people in the not so nice areas did something nice then the area would be better.0
