Doh Private Parking Charge

Someone apparently parked my car somewhere that they had no permit and was therefore unauthorised to do so and a Penalty Charge Notice was attached to the windscreen of the car.

Now this is a company car and multiple people in my house can drive it, however my company are the registered owner and I would rather not get them involved.

Obviously no one is admitting to parking the car there so do you think the best course of action would be to write to the Company and request they provide me details\picture of the driver? So I can make sure I pass the invoice on?

Thanks

Is this a penalty charge notice (ie from a council) or a private parking invoice (from a private company as suggested in the title)?

If the latter, why do you want someone to pay it?

The problem here is that if this private ticket is unpaid, the PPC will get the owner details from the DVLA, and send their demand letter to the company.

Some companies have a habit of just paying these, then recovering the money from the relevant employee.

So it looks like a "frying pan or fire" situation - you either get someone to admit driving, and pay the PPC their extortionate bogus charge, OR you educate your company as to the unenforcability of these invoices, and persuade them to ignore all the PPC's rubbish threatening letters.
