Private Car Parking Charge - Wrong Date

Hi, Last week I received a Parking Notice Charge from EFPN while my car was parked in a pub car park for 7 minutes. Parked there due to the lovely snowy/icy conditions and that it was 3/4 empty. Who ever wrote the details put the wrong year on the date. Not wanting to pay either the early £60 fine or the additional £27 for late payment, just wondered where I stood. Also on the notice it states the User/Registered Keeper of the vehicle will be liable. This bit seems to suggest it doesnt matter who drove as the registered keeper is still liable.
Anyone had any dealings with EFPN?

Did it also say that the tooth fairy will leave 20p under your pillow? Also on the notice it states the User/Registered Keeper of the vehicle will be liable. This bit seems to suggest it doesnt matter who drove as the registered keeper is still liable.
Only the driver can be deemed to have entered into a contract, and if they don't know who was driving, they can't even get past square one.
Don't contact these people, and don't pay them a penny. It's a scam.
I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.0 -
I have to agree with molerat and bargepole....
Just ignore it and eventually they will leave you alone, just don't get scared by the additional threatening letters they will send you...If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands
