transfering car NCB to Van for personal use

Hi,

I am looking at buying a van that i wil use for personal use only (i.e. to carry my dog) Are there any insurers that will take my existing car No Claims Bonus' for a personal van policy?

I have had a look round but it seems most insurers want to start again with a van.

Thanks

Ian

I'm sure lots of insurers will use your private car NCD. Have you spoken to any brokers or insurers?

A lot of private car insurers will insure vans under a private car policy wording, if it's below a certain cylinder capacity.
  • Direct line took my OH's car NCD onto a van policy last year and I used my named driver NCD on the car after changing registration details into my name.
If you only run the one vehicle I am sure you would be entitled
